Baton App

Baton is no longer operating (archived site). These screenshots are shared with the owner’s permission, and I have blurred any personal or client information.

Baton’s app is a place where business flows can be automated with a BPMN-based, no-code workflow designer. The state of each workflow is driven by forms and external events.

I was in charge of the whole app’s stack, architecture, and implementation details. I also managed the infrastructure: the servers, the databases, and the company’s AWS account. The front end is TypeScript (Angular), and the back end is TypeScript (NestJS) and Java.

Tasks

Tasks is where users mainly interact with the app.

Discussions

Discussions is an internal initiative management system.

Workflows

A BPMN workflow editor with integrations to different services, both external and internal.

Collections

A database management system similar to Airtable that connects to the workflow editor.

Groups

Permission and role management for the app.
